What AI and the data industry know about you.

Unlisted is a free newsletter and blog about AI, privacy and personal data, written for everyday people who are uneasy about where their data ended up. Each issue explains one story that matters this week, links every claim to its source, and ends with one thing you can do about it in under 15 minutes.

How it is made

  • Written with AI, from sources. A local AI model reads the week's reporting on AI and privacy (news outlets, regulators, advocacy groups) and writes each issue from the text of those articles only. The byline is Unlisted, not a person.
  • Every claim links to its source. An issue with a paragraph that does not cite one of its sources is held and never published. A second AI pass checks each claim against the article it cites.
  • No advice it is not qualified to give. No medical, legal or financial advice, no claims about private people, and claims about companies are attributed to whoever made them.
  • No trackers. No analytics, no cookies, no ads, no affiliate links, no third-party scripts or fonts.

Questions

How often is it?

About every two or three days, plus an extra issue when a big story breaks. Never more than one a day.

Is it technical?

No. If a term needs explaining, it is explained in the same sentence.

Who writes it?

An AI model, working only from the articles each issue links to. Read about for how it is checked.

What happens to my email address?

It is stored to send you the newsletter and for nothing else. It is never sold or shared. Exactly what is stored, and you can remove it any time.
